The Patriots/NSBE Jr Chapter invites you to join our E-Sports STEM Career Tournament Club for the school year 2021-2022.
Students (5th -12th Grades) will be able to play in the E-Sports Tournaments to win prizes and attend workshops that will showcase careers in E-Sports. We are inviting professional players from our local teams to be guest speakers for you to meet from the Washington Football Team, Washington Nationals, Wizards, Mystics, DC United, and the Capitals.
You will attend monthly meetings on the different STEM Careers, Video Design, Game Testers, Shoutcast/Host, Analyst, and Broadcast, Computer Programmers, Animation, and Music. We ask that you bring your A-game to the E-Sports STEM Carnival to play in the tournaments, test games, and meet game developers.
Individual students, schools, churches, Girl Scouts, Boys and Girls Clubs, and other organizations will be able to form E-Sports teams to compete in four different tournaments. The registration fee for each tournament is as follows:
- Valorant; Up to 5 students; Team rate: $250
- Super Smash Bros.; Up to 4 students; Team rate: $200
- NBA 2K 21; Up to 2 students; Team rate: $50
- Madden NFL 21; Up to 2 students; Team rate: $50
Your tournament fee will include your registration to the STEM Carnival.
Prizes for the tournaments are as follows:
- Valorant; Each member of the winning team wins $100
- Super Smash Bros.; Each member of the winning team wins $75
- NBA 2K 21; Each member of the winning team wins $50
- Madden NFL 21; Each member of the winning team wins $50
If students do not wish to compete in the tournaments, they will be able to be a spectator of the tournaments and join our STEM Carnival consisting of over 20 STEM exhibits to promote different STEM industries.

- $20 for non-members
- All students will receive lunch, t-shirts, and a chance to win prizes
Students that sign up to be a part of the E-Sports Club will also receive the following benefits:
- Student payment includes participation in a multitude of virtual career workshops during the 2021 – 2022 school years. These workshops will cover E-Sports STEM Careers, Scholarships, and Programs
- In some of the workshops, you will be able to win a Cash E-Gift Card from competing in the Kahoot Game
- During the tournaments, there will be a STEM Carnival with over 20 STEM exhibits
- Students will receive an E-Sports T-Shirt
- Students will get the opportunity to meet professional sports players from the Washington D.C. sports teams
