“Devotion” … The First Black Aviator in U.S. Navy History
“Devotion” follows two naval aviators fighting the battle of the skies in the Korean war while also fighting the social conflict on land of the Civil Rights Movement. The film’s story highlights Jesse Brown (Johnathan Majors), the first African American aviator to graduate from the Navy’s basic flight training and fellow aviator Tom Hudner (Glen Powell).
Their service, sacrifice and brotherhood would lead to them being known as the “Navy’s most celebrated wingmen”.
The performance in “Devotion” showcases Jonathan Majors as one of the most dynamic rising actors in the business.
