General information: The Cyber Security Competition allows middle and high school students to gain a global knowledge of the vital role of Cyber Security and its future needs for continuous survival and career opportunities. There will be a dinner served for the event and each student will be allowed to bring a guest for the fee of $10 to support the Cyber Security Competition Program.
Program: Teams of two students will be required to submit a research paper on a Cyber Security Career, poster board display, and create a website. They will also provide a presentation on their project before a panel of professional judges.
Each team will be able to choose from one of the following topics for research:

Schools: The competition will be among the Metropolitan area middle and high school students.
Awards Program: Students are required to submit a research paper, poster board display, and develop a website. The competition will consist of a panel of Cyber Security professionals that will judge the students’ research papers and projects at a dinner with community residents, parents, and elected officials on May 19, 2022, at the Keller Williams Preferred Properties, 1441 McCormick Drive, Suite 100 (entrance in back of building) in Largo, Maryland. The winners of this competition will be announced at this event.
Prizes:
- 1st Place: Each member of the team will receive a $100 Cash Gift Card
- 2nd Place: Each member of the team will receive a $50 Cash Gift Card
- 3rd Place: Each member of the team will receive a $25 Cash Gift Card
Business and Government Support: Several professionals from the Cyber Security industry will be recruited to assist as instructors, mentors, and technical advisors. This project will significantly impact the community by bringing attention to the awareness of available careers in the Cyber Security industry.
